About the Northern Hornets
We are the newest Junior basketball club in the Coburg Basketball Association, which has launched for the 24/25 summer season.
The Northern Hornets Junior Basketball Club strives to create a vibrant, inclusive environment where young athletes are inspired to develop their basketball skills, foster teamwork, and grow as individuals. We are committed to nurturing a positive community that empowers players of all backgrounds to reach their full potential. Through dedication, hard work, and sportsmanship, we aim to shape confident, disciplined athletes who will make lasting contributions to the sport and their communities.
At the Northern Hornets our training programs are designed to help young athletes build strength, endurance, and agility, as well as to develop the mental toughness they need to succeed on and off the court. A light hearted approach to ensure young boys and girls having fun is paramount!

Training session times and venues are subject to change, currently we are training at Players First Basketball off Newlands Road, Coburg North.
No, we will do our best to assemble teams based on friendship groups rather than ability levels.
Games are played in the local area of Coburg. The list of venues can be found on the Coburg Giants website
Yes, we welcome parents to volunteer as coaches for Northern Hornets Basketball teams. We provide training and support for all our coaches.
